What's happened so far

Mon 7th Sept 2015 - Aldi held a meeting at 5pm, with minimal notice and out of the area. 300 people turned up and told Aldi what they thought of the proposal.


Thu 10th Sept 2015 - Concerned residents met and formed the Eastern Road Precinct with the express goal of stopping the totally inappropriate Aldi proposal on Eastern Rd.


Thu 17th Sept 2015 - Facebook page receives 1000 likes.


Sat 19th Sept 2015 - Community meeting held and 500 people attended. Local State Member Alister Henskens spoke out supporting our position. Committee members Brett and Alison also presented. Councillors McDonald and Fornari-Osmond were also in attendance. 


Mon 21st Sept 2015 - Facebook page received 1200th like. This website created and published.

Nov 22nd 2015 - Brett speaks at NTAG AGM


Tue 1st Dec 2015 - Kur-ing-gai council staff release their report on Aldi's proposal. They are highly critical and recommend that councillors reject the application.


Tue 8th Dec 2015 - Council vote to unamiously reject the Aldi rezoning application. 200 people were inside council with hundreds locked out. Eastern Road Precinct speakers put very strong arguments to council.


Fri 11th Dec 2015 - Brett and Ku-ring-gai Mayor interviewed on Triple H 100.1 FM
